BUY THIS
========@1
I have been ordered by a very happy user of the new Amos extension,
Liberator, to give it's author a plug. Well here goes: Donald Cameron
who is a very generous guy apart from being a talented coder is
currently selling the program for a mere £22.50. The extension allows
almost full support for intuition and gives us Amos users yet another
reason not to nip to Blitz with the "I want to use intuition" excuse!
On the Amos grapevine I have heard that Donald is having a bit of a
hard time with some customers as Liberator is definitely NOT for the
beginner. Liberator is available from:
T-Soft, PO Box 598, Ayr, KAG 6PJ. (See Liberator review)
* From what I can gather I think anyone buying Liberator will also
get Orgasm, a Gadstool jobbie extension from T-Soft chucked in for
free but don't quote me on that! AZ Supp disk 4 has a demo version
of Orgasm on it by the way *

ROCK STEADY ED
==============@1
Edmund Clay, programmer of the PD mega hit Starbase 13 has just
finished his latest masterpiece called GRAC. It'a a Graphic Adventure
Creator allowing us lamers to knock up Starbase/Lure of the Temptress/
Monkey Island/Relics type jobbies in no time. Edmund isn't quite sure
how to market the product as yet but he will be selling the source
code himself. I have played an adventure created by Ed using GRAC,
it's called LETHAL FORMULA and I can reveal it's brilliant.
Ed will be releasing this game as PD to promote GRAC and I predict it
will cause quite a storm, as will GRAC itself. Keep watching this mag
for more details.

EASY COMPUTING
==============@1
The Christmas edition of Amiga Computing will have the "full" version
of EASY AMOS (OI! Don't laugh, you at the back!) as it's cover disk.
A.C claim in the bumph that Easy Amos is "The most complete and
powerful programming language on the Amiga, ever" Er that's a bit over
the top and simply untrue really as we all know Easy has a lot less
commands than it's counterparts, Classic and Pro. Still, it's good for
Amos in general as more people are likely to have a crack at
programming. Personally I think the whole idea behind giving Easy away
is that Europress know that anyone serious about writing anything in
Amos will at least have to have classic and now days Pro. There is, of
course the pin money to be made out of flogging all the old manuals
to the cover disk users. All in all though I think it's good, but is
it a sign of flagging interest/sales of Amos?
A.C is on sale Nov 17th, but you probably know all about this as this
issue of AZ isn't due out until 1st Dec, I am writing this in Oct.
Also I seem to recall Reg Bottomslip predicting a xmas giveaway of
an Amos package (pro) on a coverdisk! maybe he isn't quite as stupid
and mad as we first thought? * SEE NEWSFLASH, BELOW *

LIBERATION NOT CAPTIVE!
=======================@1
Continuing the depressing theme of lack of interest in Amos, Donald
Caremon, author of the Liberator extension, has just told me that after
getting three full page reviews (all good ones) in the mags his sales
are still in single figures!

AMOS HOG!
=========@1
Congrats to Malcolm Lavery for hogging the whole Amos page in Amiga
Computing (Dec issue) It's great that AC still support Amos but Phil
ought to try for a bit more info in his column! How about a review of
Amoszine, Phil?

NOTHING BUT BULL?
=================@3
Neil Wright of N.B Amos disk mag is rumoured to be starting a Blitz
mag called BUG, but we have heard other rumours about
Neil in the past that didn't quite come true, like the Amos book for
example! Anyway if the rumour is true it seems N.B.Amos disk mag
will be stopping.
@2 NEW MAG FROM NEW ZEALAND
========================@1
A new disk mag called SHAREWORLD is on issue 2, probably 3 by the time
you read this, is doing the rounds (Thanks Paul) It looks pretty good
but articles are scant, as they always are at first. Shareworld covers
Blitz and will have an Amos column soon, probably Andrew Campbell will
do it. Contact Cybercraft PO Box 4032, Mayfair, Hastings, 4201,
New Zealand. For more info.
@1 OTM DEBUT
=========@3
Steve Rennocks and co, who you may remember for their generous prizes
in recent AZ's have started a new company called OTM Promotions.
Their first product is to be an Amos extension called INTOS which
promises over 120 new commands to fully utilise the Amiga's Intuition
system. INTOS Will work on Classic and Pro and the compilers. Will allow
creation of gadgets, windows, screens, menus etc as used in Workbench
for your own programs. INTOS will come complete with a printed manual
for around £35. AZ will be receiving a review copy for issue 5 if
Stay tuned also for a special money off offer for AZ readers.

AGA LATEST
==========
After a long chat to a technical bod it is 99.9% certain that an AGA
extension will NEVER EVER be released by Europress themselves. The
source also confirms that no Amos updates will EVER be released either.
We all knew that, but now it's official. If you remember recent AZ
reports about an AGA extension that is actually in existence then we
have further sources confirming it. One source said "It works but it is
too slow and will have to be recoded." Gossip or fact? who knows?
See Andy Dobinson's column NOW!

*A.T.N NEWSFLASH*
=================@2
Just as I was putting the finishing touches to Amoszine, I received
Amiga Format December issue that carried some stunning news.
AMOS PROFESSIONAL WILL APPEAR ON THE JANUARY EDITION OF AMIGA FORMAT
ON THREE ARCHIVED DISKS.
It just goes to show that Europress really do want to wash their hands
of Amos and by giving Pro away they have effectively killed their
best product, bar flogging the manuals. How long before the Pro
Compiler appears on C.U Amiga? How long before Amos classic is released
as P.D? Wouldn't that be FANTASTIC?

NO MORE AMOS CLUB? Horray!
==========================@3
I have also heard from various sources that Aaron Fothergill is no
longer running the Amos Club, as I don't get on with him too well
I haven't investigated this myself but it fits in with Europress's
Amos suicide pact.

C.L.R V 17 BIT
==============@1
I have just been informed that 17 Bit Software, just about the biggest
P.D library in the known cosmos have dropped CLR Licenceware titles
from their range, due to a dispute. 17 Bit will, however be continuing
their support of F1 Licenceware titles. There is a general murmur of
disallusionment with the way CLR is being run and I expect at least
two more VERY WELL known libraries to follow suite in near future.
@2
If you know of anything Amosy that's going on let AZ know about it!
Note to other mags. Some of this info was sniffed out by making scores
of phone calls at Andy's expense so hands off! unless you credit
Amoszine as your source.
